Order blocks explained: where gold remembers

Why institutional footprints keep pulling price back, and how to qualify an order block on the 5m and 15m.

XAUUSD education

An order block is the last opposing candle before a strong displacement. It marks an area where large orders were likely filled.

Qualifying the zone

Look for displacement, an imbalance left behind and alignment with the higher-timeframe bias. Without these, it's just a candle. Pair the idea with how to draw support and resistance so the block sits on a level that already matters.

Risk first

Your stop belongs beyond the zone. If the trade doesn't offer at least 1:2, skip it — gold will give you another. Log the result in a gold trading journal so you can see whether the pattern pays you, not just whether it looks clean.
